Some of you who watch me may remember the lizards that infest my yard (about 20 of them) and eat all the bugs they can find.

Well it looks like we have a new generation of chameleons who arrived in my plants today!

This one is sitting on one my Italian Basil plants on the back porch. The lizard is only about 1 inch long and looking for bugs. I always have fresh, insect free Basil thanks to these guys!

The baby should be green since he's sitting on a green leaf but I'm thinking it's so young it doesn't have the capability to change color in 2 seconds like it's parents do!

I also have a toad who has decided it will be living and sleeping around my Basil and Mimosa plants on the back porch. When I get the hose out to water the plants the toad comes out and lets me water it too! It has no fear of me. Once he/she is wet and satisfied it jumps back into the plants waiting for bugs!

I've also got tiny tree frogs living around my plants. They are only 1/2 inch long and they chirp kinda like small birds. I can't get a photo of them since they move so fast!

We have pink lizards here - they look like big salamanders and always get in the house. They're not chameleons though. I don't know what they are! :giggle:

We'll talk about it when I get moved. Do you think I could turn one into a dragon?

No... it's a small salamander and they are so fast I can't get a photo of one unless I kill it which I won't do.

Never kill one. They are special creatures. I can live without one.

They're so fast I can't even get a photo! I never kill anything unless it attacks me. If it attacks me it is fair game.

Buffalo means 1 thing to me... well, a few things... blizzards, ice, snow, bitter cold etc.
This weekend it's supposed to be 104 with a heat index of 111. :(

The only thing I hate is when they see a bug NOTHING will stop them from getting it... not even my leg when wearing shorts! :fear: - they leap out from high places and you're not expecting it! One of them did that and I dropped my cigarette on me, spilled my beer and nearly wet myself!

I'll mail you some :giggle: - It's funny when they eat moths that are 3 times bigger than their mouth. It takes about 15 minutes for them to get it down!

They are types of Monitor Lizards. Smaller, cuter, friendlier versions of Comodo Dragons.

haha it's a freaking zoo around here! I'm wondering if the little guy will see the bug at the top right corner of the photo.... it's been over an hour and the lizard is still sitting there taking it all in... probably doesn't know where to go next!

One of those mean red wasps came after me today. Got the RAID and he was history in 2 seconds. I'm not playing games anymore with those demons!

I did find out that those mud-daubers really are harmless. I had 1 circling around me and I was terrified and ready to run but he was so close I couldn't move... I had goose bumps, got dizzy from fear and closed my eyes waiting for the attack but it never touched me and flew away. It took me a few minutes to compose myself I will admit! :fear:

:nod:I never had a problem with mud-daubers,they
really aren't aggressive at all, they have stingers,
but I've never known anyone to be stung, but I can
understand getting scared if one came at my face!!
